Allow interaction between researchers working on discrete topics in different countries, including those outside COST.

Facilitate enduring mutual learning, both between older and younger researchers and policy makers and other stakeholders. Summer schools will inform a new cohort of researchers capable of working on the challenges of polycentric climate governance.

Leave a lasting legacy through: ideas on how to enhance the development and diffusion of policy innovations; proposals for how better to assess innovations; Open Access online courses and publications; novel ideas on how to secure follow on funding to address the Grand Challenge of climate change.
